What does Laser Hair Reduction treat?

Laser Hair Reduction is a non-invasive way to remove unwanted body hair from just about every part of the body.

Where on the body can Laser Hair Reduction be used?

Laser Hair reduction can be done on just about any part of the body except the eyes. Commonly treated areas are face, hands, underarms, feet, chest, head, legs, back of neck, brazilian, bikini and arms.

What to Expect

After a thorough skin examination and consultation with your skin care professional, a laser hair reduction treatment plan will be developed and an appointment will be scheduled. Before the procedure begins, you will be comfortably seated in our on-site procedure room and provided protective eye gear. The unwanted hair will then be trimmed to a few millimeters and a cool gel (or cooling device) will be used in conjunction with the laser. The purpose of the gel/cooling device is to make the treatment more comfortable and efficient. Then the laser light will be applied to the desired area, which works to specifically target and eliminate hair follicles without damaging or disturbing the surrounding skin cells. Treatments may take 30 – 60 minutes.

Anticipated Results

Once the laser hair reduction treatment is complete, an ice-pack or cooling agent will be applied to the treatment area. Depending on the amount of hair and area being treated, 3 – 8 sessions may be needed to achieve optimal results. Typically, sessions are scheduled 6 – 12 weeks apart depending on the area. Your skin care professional will provide you with detailed information about post-treatment care. Since laser hair reduction is a nonsurgical treatment, patients will be free to return to their normal activities immediately after treatment.
